What a great holiday; a day of “Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens” as proclaimed by Abraham Lincoln. And I have so much for which I am thankful. Peace with God. A loving family. Provisions galore. So we’ll celebrate.
And what would a celebration be without food? Lots and lots of wonderful food. The best part is that the food can be healthy, wholesome, and taste amazing all at the same time. Real food is like that. It’s the simplest thing. Just take food that’s been raised in healthy fields and pastures, and prepare it in a way that brings nourishment to our bodies. I have freezers full of that kind of food! And the “s” on the end of freezer is not a typo. I do have much for which to thank God, my Provider!

This year will be our first with real food, my only concern is the stuffing. I need to find some GMO free white bread, there is a bread lady at the framer’s market I’m hoping she has something for me.
Followed you here from The Thankful HomeAcre Hop, pinning to my healthy eating board, would love for you to share on Real Food Fridays.

I just made the Gluten Free Gravy to take with us to a gluten filled Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I like it a lot, but then I consider onions among my favorite vegetables! Can’t wait to try it over potatoes. It has at least as much onion flavor as there is broth flavor. I’m so glad you posted this.
I see you included my Creamy Mayan Hot Chocolate recipe in the list. I’m going to make that for my college girl when she comes home this weekend. She’s the one who hates squash but loves it the hot chocolate.
