Ask a kindergartener if it’s possible to grow to a pumpkin pie.
I LOVE this age. They are old enough to understand, and young enough to still be magical in their thinking. And while they get that a pie won’t grow in the garden, they’ll still likely answer a resounding yes to your question.
Especially after reading to them from the Scholastic Reader, Grow a Pumpkin Pie.
I spent a morning a few weeks ago at Abington Christian Academy reading to 3 different classes. You know, ’cause it was pajama day and all. I didn’t wear my pjs, but I did wear my Tigger gardening hat.
We checked out some pumpkin seeds. And a plant, and it’s roots.
And we learned how to grow a pumpkin, and bake it into a pie.
And we remembered that it’s important to save some seeds for next year.
So, what do you think? Can you grow a pumpkin pie?
Thank you for visiting Learning And Yearning. May "the LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." Num 6:24-26
